The challenge

Paper surveys that couldn't scale

Road safety around schools needs consistent assessment of traffic, pedestrian infrastructure, signage, crossings, environmental risks, and crash history. Traditional audits relied on paper surveys, manual consolidation, and fragmented reporting, limiting scale and visibility.

With the International Road Federation (IRF) and 3M, Prodios Labs built Safe School Zone: a simple, powerful mobile solution that lets volunteer auditors capture field observations and turn them into actionable safety intelligence for stakeholders and policymakers.
